The $50 admission price is not enough to satisfy the greed of the owners of Great Adventure even though 15,000 to 25,000 people visits one of their parks on a typical summer day. Let's start with the lockers. You'll have to pay $8 for the small ones and more for the larger ones. These are just lousy lockers! You would think that they would offer these for free to their loyal customers dishing out $50 just to get in. Sodas are $4 or you could get the unlimited plastic jar for $15! You can buy a hamburger and fries for $14! Of course that does not include soda. For some of the rides they will charge you extra! The prices at Six Flags Great Adventure are not just high, they are absolutely obnoxious! They are insulting! This is why they don't allow any food or drinks inside, because this gives them the opportunity to rip consumers off cold bloodedly.
Where are the government regulators to put a cap on what amusement parks can charge consumers for refreshments and other things? Any criminal organization would be envious of what Great Adventure is able to get away with.
Despite their windfall profits, Six Flags Great Adventure owners are too cheap to install benches for people to sit on while waiting for popular rides. Some rides can have as much as a 2 hour wait! People often have no choice but to spend half of their time standing on long lines and often in the hot sun. The owners of Great Adventures could not careless about millions of customers forced to stand for hours waiting on their long lines when they could easily install benches which people could slide along on. Great Adventure should be renamed: "Great Rip-off".
