Judge gives 18 year girl 30 days in jail and a fine for an extra $5,000 for saying adios!

What this judge did was utterly disgraceful!!  This is an 18 year old child!  How can we teach kids to show restraint and self control when this judge shows zero self control??  All that the girl did was say "adios" which is simply goodbye in Spanish.  What was he so upset about?  Does he not like the Spanish language?  By the way, isn't the judge Spanish?  If he were white, there would be immediate charges of racism and massive demonstrations.  How does saying "adios" justify a $5,000 increase in her bail?  Talk about abuse of power!  She did not curse at him until after he raised her bail. 

Now this poor girl is going to spend 30 days in jail and probably be raped and otherwise abused resulting in her developing emotional and mental problems that could put her on a very dangerous path including a life of crime if she does not get help.  Let's not forget the impact this will have on her trying to get a job etc.  All of this because some old man doesn't like the word "adios"!  Where's the justice in this? 

On top of all of this the girl seems like she was a little high on something.  The judge obviously recognized this which is why he asked her if she was currently on drugs.  In addition, she did not have any legal representation.  The judge should have considered all of this before imposing such harsh penalties. This judge should be fired.  All of you who are supporting this nonsense - shame on you!!! It is people like you who encourage judges and police to abuse their authority.
