How many REAL white Americans are there?
According to the U.S. Census White people includes North Africans, Middle East people, Arabs, Moroccans, Lebanese and Hispanics who consider themselves white. What??? Since when are Africans "white". How many real white people consider Arabs or Hispanics to be white?
I think that it is fair to say that most people, regardless of race, consider real White people to have their orgin in Europe. What the U.S. Census seems to be doing is deliberately inflating the numbers of White Americans. What they are doing in effect is confusing the definition of White people so much that it has become almost meaningless.
This also affects the definition of every other racial group. How many Hispanics are there really since they can define themselves as White if they want to? How many Blacks are there really since North Africans are now honary White people? With such crazy definitions, the general public does not know what the true racial democraphics of America really is. We don't know how many real White Americans, Black Americans or Hispanic Americans there actually are! I know that trying to create distinctions based on race and ethnicity is not easy, but what the U.S. Census is doing is not only far from a solution, it is absolutely laughable! Look at the photos. According to the U.S. Census, these are all White people.
"White Americans are people of the United States who are considered or consider themselves White. The United States Census Bureau defines White people as those "having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa. It includes people who indicated their race(s) as “White” or reported entries such as Irish, German, Italian, Lebanese, Arab, Moroccan, or Caucasian." Like all official U.S. racial categories, "
Whites (includes Hispanics who identified as white) constitute the majority with a total of 223,553,265 or 72.4% of the population in the 2010 United States Census
